Kelly Brotzman for Model Number 79642199900 I finally realized the problem with my Kenmore Elite front load washer not spinning was: the teeth on the plastic rotor hub were completely worn down. Rather than order the whole rotor assembly, I sourced just the hub (steel-reinforced in the center) elsewhere. Installed and tested, but rotor kept knocking against the bolts that secure the stator. Appears the replacement rotor hub was a different thickness than the old one -- slightly thinner so didn't provide clearance between rotor fins and stator bolts. Obviously, I will now order the whole assembly from here, but is it the case that the hubs come in varying thicknesses?
Answer Kelly, Yes, each manufacturer may have a different thickness in the rotator than others. This can also vary from machine to machine. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, January 13, 2020
