Pax_In_Ma for Model Number LG WM2016CW Looks like the spider on our LG WM2016CW broke. I have not taken the machine apart yet but 1) the tub is not staying in place, 2) we got the burnt smell others have been talking about so am pretty sure it is the spider. The washer stopped working while spinning a load. I can not power on the washer anymore and am wondering if there could be more damaged than the spider, seal, bearings or is it normal for the washer not to power on when the spider is broken and the tub is dangling? What do you think? Thanks!
Answer Hello PAX_in_MA. Yes, it sounds like more is damaged than just the spider. The unit should still come on even with the spider damaged. You will need to check all wiring and the boards on the unit also. Make sure it didn't trip the break as well. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, April 29, 2016
