Baker for Model Number LG WM2501HVA My 6 year old LG washer, model WM2501HVA is having spin issues. Let me begin by saying I have received NO ERROR CODES. I recently changed the rotor, due to the all too common spline tooth failure, but after reassembly, the washer wont go into full spin. My next step was to change the RPS (HALL) sensor. No improvement, performance is the same. Sometimes, during spin, it shudders and makes a grinding noise, other times it will spin free, appear to try to balance over and over again. Sometimes it will go into a quiet spin, but you can hear it stepping down and picking up repeatedly, but it won't go into high spin. The pump operates, and the drum empties. The filter and drain hose are clean. So, my question: Do I replace the stator or the control board next?
Answer Baker, The most likely cause for the issue that you are having would be a bad stator. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 20, 2015
