Dean for Model Number LG WM2016CW Our washing machine no longer turned on. We had a tech look at it and he said it was the main control board. We purchased a new one, but I wanted to look at the machine a bit closer. I disassembled the unit and took the tub out. When I put the tub assembly back together, including the stator, the tub spins freely. When I reassembled the tub in the washing machine and added the rotor, the tub was difficult to spin by hand. I am hesitant to run the washer until I know what is causing the tub to spin hard for fear of blowing another control board. The bearings seemed fine, as the inner tub has no wobble or discerning noise. Finally, we did not get an error code prior to the washer no longer turning on. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Answer Dean, You will want to check the RPS sensor to make sure that it is installed properly. Also check the magnets on the rotor and stator to make sure that there are no cracked or broken magnets. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 11, 2015
