Jb for Model Number LG, WM2101HW My front loader LG model WM2101HW will fill and then try to agitate one way and then the other, but will not. There WASN'T any error codes. I removed the rotor and stator to examine them. About 10 of the windings has nicks on them but the rotor seems ok. Can the stator be the problem ? How would the stator get nicked up? Feel free to post your reply (excluding my email address) for others can possibly benefit as well. Thank you
Answer Hello JB. It is not likely it is the stator, but it could be. The nicks are usually from something inside the rotor, usually pieces of magnets, rubbing the stator. I would make sure there are not any cracks in the magnets. If not, then the most likely cause would be a bad motor board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
