Scott for Model Number LFX25961SB01 I've been doing a lot of research on replacing the original start relay/overload switch /start capacitor in my LG LFX25961SB. I finally ordered your lg thermistor assembly ptc 6749c-0014e (ap5949339) as well as the overload. I understand that the original start capacitor on the unit is no longer needed with these two new components. My only concern is that I seem to be reading two different answers regarding the wiring for the new setup. There is a blue and black wire going to the original relay/overload/cap. It's clear to me that the black wire should go to the new overload switch, but the answers given in this Questions section seem to contradict on where the blue wire goes. One answer says it goes to terminal 3 on the new relay and another answer says it goes to terminal 2. Can you confirm which is the correct terminal for the blue wire?
Answer Hello Scott, The capacitor will be needed with the new components. A start relay and overload will not take the place of the capacitor. If the compressor originally needed the capacitor, it still needs it. The hot wire should connect to the overload and the neutral will connect to terminal number 2. The capacitor will share the connection with the neutral wire and the other capacitor wire will connect to terminal 3. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Saturday, August 19, 2017
