Robert for Model Number LG LFX 21960ST Hello. I've been working on getting an older LG refrigerator (LFX 21960ST) running again after it stopped cooling and all the ice melted and food thawed. It had been clicking loudly for about a day before it all went south. Determined it was the compressor start relay. The overload protector clicks, then click again after about 15 seconds, then silent for couple of minutes, then clicks, and clicks again after 15 seconds -- and continues this cycle without the compressor activates. As others have noted with the same issue, my relay is three-bladed (red top left, pink bottom left, blue bottom right). The compressor is an Embraco EGZ 90HLP if that makes a difference. Will your compressor start relay (Part Number 6749C-0014E (AP5949339) work for me? And how should I connect the wires? Thanks so much!
Answer Robert, Yes, this compressor start relay 6749C-0014E will work but you will not need to connect the 2 wires on the left side of the relay. They are just for the capacitor which is not needed for the compressor to run. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, February 19, 2021
