Derek F for Model Number RS265TDBP/XAA Hello, my refrigerator evaporator iced up to the point the evap fan was hitting the ice. Eventually the fan stopped so the refrigerator could no longer cool. I removed the evaporator cover, and noticed the wires that connect the evaporator to the main unit were closed in the evaporator cover (part AP5328951). This left a dent in the Styrofoam cover, as well as the flexible foam seal around the evaporator cover. The icing mainly occurred right beside the damaged seal, so I think it might have been caused by warm air coming in and melting/refreezing. I see the entire evaporator cover is not available, do you sell replacement foam stripping to replace the factory soft foam that is deformed?
Answer Derek, Unfortunately the gasket for the cover is not available as a separate part but the cover is available. The part number for the cover is DA97-08724N which is a manufacturers direct replacement from DA97-08724N. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, July 31, 2015
