Ryan for Model Number WF448AAP/XAA I've had this part fail on me twice in the last 5 months. After the first failure, we guessed it was due to our high water pressure and got a regulator valve for our entire water supply rated at 55 psi. Haven't had an issue in 3 months. Today the part burst again. Would love to know if there's another issue besides this part.
Answer Hello Ryan, If there are mineral deposits and sedimentation in the water supply, this can clog the openings on the bottom of DC97-14493A. This would cause the hose to basically have water pressure applied to it when this hose was actually designed to direct water flow. Read More...
