Mustafa for Model Number NX58H9500WS/AA My over takes a long time to pre-heat and never reaches 450 plus. When I turn on the bake, the igniter takes about a minute to turn on the flame. Flame turns on full initially (for around 5s) and then goes down to 1/3 the size and starts to swing like going off and on but does stay on at very low flame. The bake ignitee resistance reading is at 190ohms and the broil ingiter reads 138 ohms. Broil seems to work fine. I'm suspecting the igniter but want to be sure before attempting the replace it. Thank you.
Answer Mustafa, Since the top burners and broil burner work OK, it's not likely a gas flow issue. You most likely have a weak bake burner igniter DG94-01012A/DG94-01012A Range Bake Igniter. A weak igniter can cause delayed ignition, and extend the cooking/heating times, as you described. You can check the resistance of the igniter with a multi meter, it should have a resistance of 40 to 400 O. You can also check for a 3.2 to 3.6 amp draw with a "clamp on ammeter" or 3.2 to 3.6 VAC across the safety valve terminals while the oven igniter is glowing. Read More...
