Pat for Model Number NX58H9500WS my oven is not heating at all after a couple of episodes where it took 15-20 minutes to heat. Do I need igniter # DG94-00520A or #DG94-01012A?
Answer Pat, with access to the back panel (which will be removed for testing) and the gas supply turned off, the ignitor wire connector would need to be accessed so that it can be tested for voltage. With the oven set to bake, the ignitor should receive 120VAC when testing from wire to wire. If it is receiving 120VAC and the igniter is not glowing, the igniter has failed and would need to be replaced. If there is not 120VAC, the next step would be to test from one of the wires to the chassis of the oven for 120VAC. If there is voltage, then it is likely that the safety valve. The same can be done with the broil igniter. If there is not voltage at any point, the oven sensor would need to be tested for resistance as it should measure 1080O at room temperature. If the sensor tests properly, and the igniters did not receive voltage in any test, then the failure would be in the main control. For the most accurate information regarding part numbers, the REV number for this model would be necessary. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, September 16, 2020
