Dean for Model Number Samsung RB215LABP/XAA My ice maker is not working. I had it in storage for about a year now its not working. I tried to reset it but nothing happens. I don't see water or nothing. What could be wrong?
Answer Hi Dean. The ice maker part # DA97-00258E will normally take 24-48 hrs to cycle as it needs to be at the freezer frozen temperature before it calls for water. Make sure the ice maker is in the on position. Trip the feeler arm up and down a couple of times to begin the cycle if the temp. are below 32°. Feel inside the ice ejector arm to release the bind of the arm. Use the wiring diagram and Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Find the control board output pins and make sure you have the correct ice maker output. Make sure the wiring harness under the freezer door hinge are connected if you removed the door when storage. It feeds the ice maker. Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, October 9, 2012
