Margaret for Model Number rf4267hars As a followup to a previous question, my new icemaker DA97-07365G does not function properly. Error 39E. Pressed the reset button on installation, unit cycled, filled with water and produced one tray of ice about 4 hours later. Then nothing. Error 39E. It does not sound like an electrical problem as IM did in fact make and dump ice once. Could this be a bad solenoid valve causing ice tray to overflow into the mechanism then freeze thus preventing the motor etc. to turn and dump ice? Thanks.
Answer Margaret, the error 39E shows that the main control is seeing an issue with the heater in the ice maker. As the ice maker has been replaced, the most likely failure is in the main control based on the fact that the ice maker will manually harvest. To ensure the correct part number is identified, there will be a REV number next to the barcode on the model/serial tag that would be necessary. Read More...
