Paul Matthew for Model Number RF4287HARS/XAA I have a Samsung refrigerator model RF4287HARS/XAA with the DA97-07365G ice maker. It seems like the tray heater is not heating cause the cubes not empty out during cycle. Or the board does not tell the heater to lose the ice cubes. When I press the test button, I hear a chime but nothing moving. I take the ice maker out, I see ice cubes on the tray. I wash the ice with hot water and put it back. Then I press the test button, few minutes later , I can see the it runs through the test cycle with no issue (ice arm moves down and up as water is filled up). The new ice cubes are made within the next few hours but never get dropped down to the ice bucket. How can I test to determine if the control board is sending power to the ice maker heater so I know if I should replace the control board or the ice maker. Thank you for your time.
Answer Paul, On the control board, there is a connector with a CN70 next to it. This is the connector that you will need to test for the heater. You will need to put the icemaker into the test mode and then check at the CN 70 connector Pin 3 (black wire) to Pin 13 (Gray wire) for 120 Vac. If there is 120 vac then the icemaker needs replaced. If there is not 120 vac then the control board will need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, March 22, 2022
