David for Model Number rh22h9010sr My ice maker is not filling with water. The water dispenser works fine. Is this typically an ice maker issue or an inlet valve? If valve, where is it located and what's the part number? Thanks
Answer David, the best way to tell if the issue is with the icemaker or the water inlet valve is going to be putting the icemaker into a forced harvest mode and testing the inlet valve for incoming voltage. You can find the valve in the water filter housing. If you push and hold the blue button on your icemaker, that forces it into a harvest mode. Once the arm on the icemaker starts to rotate, go to the valve and test for incoming voltage. You should get 120v AC to the valve once the icemaker gets to the end of the arm rotation. If it does not receive the voltage needed, then you will have an icemaker DA97-13415B issue. If it does receive the voltage necessary, then you will have a valve DA97-14655C issue which the valve is a part of the filter housing assembly. Read More...
