George S for Model Number Samsung RFG 297AABP I am confused. We bought our fridge locally 12 years ago. Recently, for the first time it would stop cooling both sides. I could restart it sometimes by unplugging and replugging, but then it would stop shortly again. We called service who said it needed freon. They recharged it with 134A but could not get it to run again (they left and never returned). I opened the rear cover and saw the inverter board LED flash sequences of 5 blinks. I consulted many on-line sources and all said it showed low voltage and most likely the inverter board, DA41-00614F, needs replacement. This board is no longer being made and is typically not available. No substitute is indicated, either. I checked my inverter board and GUESS WHAT? My inverter board is labeled DA41-00411A (also not available). What gives? My fridge label says it was built in 2009. It is Model RFG297AABP. BUT its BOM is RFG297ABBP/XAA. I found used DA41-00614Fs for sale, but when I check their details the are labeled DA41-00614B (not compatible)! There are also used DA41-00411As available, but they don't list the RFG297 fridge as compatible. I would like to replace the inverter board because I really don't believe my compressor is shot and I would rather not spend $2,500 on a new unit. Any thoughts on this insanity?
