Paul S for Model Number RFG298AARS/XAA Rear cabinet frame removed and found source of a pretty good leak. This leak is where the furthest right white tube coming up from the water valve enters from the back of the unit. Water leak seems to come from behind the plastic, not from the fitting on the tube. Water dispensing in front okay. Also, where does this water go to inside the unit?
Answer Paul, the right-hand tubing with the brown wired solenoid is going to be going to the freezer ice maker. If it is the tubing DA97-05362C that is leaking, it is certainly recommended that it be changed out.
