Shamus for Model Number rf268abbp have a samsung model rf268abbp refrig that the water and ice smell and taste bad. filter and filter assembly have been changed but still have bad taste and smell. tap water is fine. tried bypassing filter and running many gallons of water thru but still no good. any suggestions ? thanks
Answer Shamus, With the filter housing and the filter having been replaced then this issue would not be caused by the unit. Would recommend taking a glass of water from the sink and putting it in the refrigerator and see if the taste changes and smells bad. It may be something in the tap water that would only come about when the water is chilled. Unfortunately with the water tank having been replaced the unit would not be able to affect the water.
