Jeremiah B. for Model Number RF4287HABP Our fridge has stopped producing ice altogether. I have checked water supply as we can still get water out of the door with no problem but there is no water entering the ice maker. I have also reset the ice maker via the button on the side of the ice maker. My question I guess is could the water valve assembly be bad and only allowing water to flow to the door and not the ice maker or could there be other electronics within the ice maker more likely be causing my problems. Answer Hello Jeremiah, Since the water valve DA97-07827B is a dual valve and one side is for water dispense and the other is for the icemaker, it is the most probable cause of the failure. It is possible to have an icemaker issue but you would need to force a cycle and check for voltage to the icemaker for the seven seconds it fills to determine this. Read More...
