Don H for Model Number RS265TDWP/XAA No water going to ice maker. If I pour water into ice maker it does make a few cubes so it seems to be functioning. I checked line in door going to ice maker and it is clear. I think it may be the solenoid. How can I check the solenoid? I see four wires going into it, 2 white, 2 purple. Thanks
Answer Hello Don, You can disconnect the water line coming out of the valve DA97-07827B to the icemaker and force a cycle to see if water comes out for about 7 seconds near the end of the cycle. If it does, the icemaker could have a bad cycling thermostat inside it that will require replacement of the icemaker assembly DA97-07549B. Read More... Answer Don, You will need to check for 120 vac to the water valve to make sure that there is power when the icemaker calls for water. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 3, 2017
