Danielb for Model Number WF219ANW/XAA 01 My issue sounds much like many of those mentioned here, but with some similar issues from a few. We recently moved houses, and the washer sat unused in storage for ~10 months. I just hooked it up at the new place, and on the first wash cycle, without any clothes, I heard a crashing sound and immediately powered it down. As Suresh mentioned, there was a significant amount of sandy/grimy residue inside and a slight smoke/rubber smell (additional rinse/spin cycles have not gotten rid of the residue). I ran it on spin only to see if it persisted, and the basin rotates out of center from flush to 0.5” as Dominic said, which then causes the tub to shake out of balance and present the dc error code. Additionally, it sounds as if there is a squeak/rub that is present at a regular interval while spinning. I checked the shock absorbers and they seem fine, as do the springs, so I believe it is an internal balance issue as the root cause. Lastly, I’ve removed the stator motor, and it did not look as if there was any rust around the bearing or that the seal was broken. Does this sound like a broken Spider and Balancer Seal? Potentially other issues as well? Your videos and this community Q/A support have been invaluable. Thank you for all that you do.
Answer Daniel, With this issue it does sound like the spider has broken and would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, November 30, 2017
