Johann for Model Number WF331ANW/XAA-0004 our front loder started to leak water under the front edge. i opend the bottom filter door and drained out the skunky water inside the filter was a wad of plastic string like material black and a clear plastic like a ziptiy width could the wear ring or balance ring or tube be rubbing shaving off
Answer Johann, this does sound like there are parts of the tub assembly that are out of alignment. If the spin basket can wiggle up and down independently of the outer tub, then either the spyder shaft DC97-15491A or the rear bearings are bad. This can cause the spin basket to rub against the outer tub and peel the plastic away. Unfortunately, if the bearings have failed, they are a part of the rear tub assembly DC97-11526M and are discontinued by the manufacturer. Read More...
