David for Model Number RS2545SH Had a problem, it started 2 weeks ago. Fridger temp wasn't stay @ the ideal temp. as 36 it went up to 58 it didn't come down. - Freezer's just working fine! I plugged out for a day and plugged back, it went back to working @temp 36. A few days ago, exactly same problem happened again and this time seemed moter never stop, being noisey. So last night I plugged power out, now it's working again. I think it works as temporary, problem would be back. So can you help for solving this kind of problem?! Thanks.
Answer David, You will want to pull the evaporator cover that is on in the back of the refrigerator compartment. You will want to check the thermistors for breaks or loose connections and test the thermistors resistance. Also check the heater to make sure that it has continuity. It sounds like you are having a defrost issue and after unplugging for a while it allows it to work again. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 29, 2013
