Brian N. We have a 3 door Samsung Refrigerator. 2 top doors for refrigerator and the bottom pull out freezer. At work and don't know model#. The main board apparently needs replaced and we were told we had to turn off, empty and keep open all 3 doors for 24 hours before replacing so it could defrost! That seems like an exorbitant amount of time and it's a frost free unit, less than 4 years old. Can you advise?
Answer Hello Brian! You will do not need to leave the unit off with the doors open for 24hrs to replace the main board. But be sure that you do however, remove power to the unit before attempting any repairs. Thanks. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 8, 2011
