Lorenzo for Model Number WF448AAP/XAA-0000 Hi, the washer was working fine. Then heard a loud bang followed by the sound of something snapping like a belt. Went to check on the washer and the drum had stopped spinning. I looked inside and there was little bit of smoke. I turned the washer on again and the motor sounds like its running but the washer won't spin. Does this model has belt that needs to be change or does it work differently. Thank you in advance. Answer Lorenzo, there is not a belt on this washer. It sounds like you have broken the spinner support that holds the drive basket. This would require a total overhaul of the washing machine tub and support. You would need to replace the spinner, DC97-14421A, and the rear portion of the outer tub, DC97-14604D Read More...
