James for Model Number FTQ3531WUX On my right front burner, when turning the control knob to the 'LO' side, the inner burner cycles properly. When turned to the 'HIGH' side the inner & outer burners come on and stay on. They never cycle, they just get hotter & hotter. Which part do you believe that is? TYIA
Answer James, more than likely the cycling contact in the infinite switch DG44-01002A is weak and not allowing the element to cycle when the amp draw of both the inner and outer coils are present for both to heat. You may want to test the resistance of the element to ensure that it has not been impacted from this issue. At the switch, if you test the inner coil from the violet wire to the gray wire at connection 2, the reading should be between 42 to 48 ohms. The outer coil can be tested from the orange wire at connection 4A to the gray wire at connection 2 and should read 45 to 50 ohms. Read More...
