Jason for Model Number Samsung FX710BGS Everything works on my gas range except for the oven. All burners and broiler functions work, but the oven will not heat on regular or convection settings... Stays at 150 degrees and eventually beeps at me telling me that it's not working. Looks like the thermistor is the most popular part, but figured I's ask before ordering. You guys have helped me fix a few appliances over the years!
Answer Jason, the temperature sensor DG32-00002B can be tested from the main control while the range is unplugged from the wall outlet. The sensor should measure 1080 Ohms at room temperature by testing the wires at connection CN401. If this tests good, then the convection and bake circuits can be tested by placing one probe at the terminal T602 (keep the probe here as the common test point) and then placing the other probe at the connections T605 (bake ignitor DG94-00520A circuit should measure 36 Ohms of resistance) and T607 (convection heater DG47-00017B circuit should measure 18 Ohms of resistance). If either of these circuits failed, then the part that failed would need to be changed. If all of the circuits tested good, then the main control DE92-02588C has failed. Read More...
