Larry for Model Number DV409AEW/XAA-0000 About 2 weeks ago the thermal fuse (part# AP4201894) opened which caused the dryer not to operate. I clean the dryer vent about four times a year but found the blower wheel full of lint, so I removed and cleaned the wheel everything else inside the dryer cabinet. Installed new thermal fuse everything was working fine until yesterday and the thermal fuse opened again. Again I took everything apart and found the vent piping, blower wheel and everything inside spotless. What else could cause the thermal fuse to open besides lack of air flow. Possible Thermistor or Thermostat or both? Any help here will be appreciated. Thanks.
Answer Larry, It is possible that the thermistor could be faulty causing the dryer to overheat which would cause the thermal fuse to blow. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 27, 2018
