Jrermert July 03, 2024 for Model Number DV42H5200EP/AS 03 Samsung Dyer model number DV42H5200EP/AS 03, code HE, exhaust clear and free of blockage, ran on fluff dry, still overheating, replaced heating element no obvious damage on old element, ran on fluff, still overheating, what would cause the element to heat even when on air fluff mode, thermistor or high temp limiter?
1 Answer Jremert, This issue sounds like the relay on the main control board would be faulty and would need to replace the main control board. Read More...
Bill B November 09, 2023 for Model Number dv448aep/xaa my samsung dryer will start then it shuts off with this reading error temperature sensor problem solution try restarting the cycle if the problem continues call for service now which of the three will need replacing? the high limit thermostat, thermal fuse, or thermistor or all three. I also cleaned out the inside of the dryer and the vent hose but still same problem. I will await you answer before ordering the parts. thank you for your advice.
2 Answers Bill, Check for lint screen being full, vent system clogged and check resistance of the thermister. Should have a reading of 10k at 77 degrees give or take a little. Read More...

David September 14, 2023 for Model Number DV50F9A7EVP/A2 Samsung front load dryer randomly shuts off mid-cycle. The motor windings, belt switch and thermal fuse all show continuity with low resistance on the multimeter (with everything cold). I went ahead and replaced the motor just in case as well as the idler pully and rollers, but this didn't fix it. This can happen even in Air Fluff mode (with no heat) when the dryer was cool before starting, as well as heated Timed mode (which disregards the humidity sensor). Sometimes it goes the full cycle, sometimes it dies in 5 sec, but typically it dies somewhere mid-cycle. Starting to wonder if it is the Main PCB/relay, but hoping it could be some other cheaper component. Any suggestions?
1 Answer David, based on the information provided, the main control DC92-01310A would be the cause of failure. Read More...
Big Ed April 17, 2023 for Model Number DV457EVGSGR/AA Dryer runs but only on one heat level. Will not allow me to change to any other settings. Seems like it is running a little hot. Tried unplugging but no change. Can get screen to show T2 code.
1 Answer Hello Ed, the T2 indicates an overheat condition, check the venting first, if not clogged, next check the heating element is not internally grounded, if the control panel will not allow a change in temp selection it may be faulty. Read More...

Will July 14, 2022 for Model Number DV350AEP/XAA-00 Hi - replacing the thermostat on my dryer. There doesn't seem to be any markings on the replacement part DC47-00018A to tell me which orientation it should be mounted to the heating element housing. Does it matter which wire gets connected to which lead on the thermostat? Thanks, Will.
1 Answer Will, as the thermostat DC47-00018A is a single path switch, each wire can be placed on either of the terminals. Read More...
Morris June 20, 2022 for Model Number DV350AEW/XAA samsung This dryer started to give a burning smell. Checked for lint blockage both inside and in vent duct. All clear. Seams to blow out very hot air out of the exhaust even at extra low heat setting. Unit runs fine, no noise. Not much if any burning smell now but just seams to run too hot at all temp settings. Possible causes?
1 Answer Hello Morris, access and check the dryer's heating element is not shorted or grounded. This can cause a runaway temperature. Read More...
David December 28, 2021 for Model Number davidalanodell@gmail.com My Samsung DV395ETPASU/A1 was running and suddenly stopped mid-cycle. I turned it off, unplugged it, and tried to restart. It will turn on and I can adjust the settings but it won't start. Prior to this it was taking longer than normal to dry a load of clothes.
1 Answer David, Check the venting of the dryer to make sure that it is not clogged. This would be the venting from the blower wheel to the outside of your home and then also check to make sure that the belt is not broken. Read More...
Sevenliter June 19, 2021 for Model Number DV48J7770EP/A2 turn dryer on and runs 10 to 15 seconds and shuts off. and smells very hot. Did not show error codes. unplugged dryer and checked for clog lent. was no clogs. Checked for continuity and unplugged wires to each : tested 1st 3 wire heat element - good. 2nd thermal fuse - good. 3rd high limit thermostat - good. all show continuity. check for continuity between heat element and housing and found none.
1 Answer Sevenliter, it would be recommended that the heating circuit is tested for continuity to ground. If a wire or element is grounded, it can cause the element to heat up excessively and trip the thermal cut out. If there is not a grounded-out portion of the circuit, it would be likely that the main control DC92-01729A is starting to fail. Read More...
