Mattinnc for Model Number NE59J7630SG/AA My oven does not get to temp or takes a long time to get there. The oven thinks is at temp but it's not close. This started after the convection fans died. I changed the temp sensor even though it was close in the Ohms reading. I have also replaced the main board, as I was told the faulty motor could cause issues with the board. I've tested all the heating elements all readings (below) are within the specs. Bake Element 19 Ohms Conv. Element 70 Ohms Broil Element 13.1 Ohms I'm getting 240V at the bake element when the oven is on and I hear the relays cycle one and off. When the oven beeps it at temp it's nearly 100 degrees off. It will eventually get there but it takes quite a while. The only thing I'm unsure of is the High-Limit Thermostat. It reads 0 ohms but what I don't know can this limit the temp or cause the elements to not reach full temperature?
Answer MattinNC, the bake element DG47-00020B for the model provided should measure between 26-30 Ohms. As the resistance is not within this range, the element has failed and would be the likely cause of this failure. The high-limit thermostat would not be a concern as it would stop voltage from reaching the control, causing a complete shutdown. Read More...
