Mattinnc for Model Number NE59J7630SG/AA

My oven does not get to temp or takes a long time to get there. The oven thinks is at temp but it's not close. This started after the convection fans died. I changed the temp sensor even though it was close in the Ohms reading. I have also replaced the main board, as I was told the faulty motor could cause issues with the board. I've tested all the heating elements all readings (below) are within the specs. Bake Element 19 Ohms Conv. Element 70 Ohms Broil Element 13.1 Ohms I'm getting 240V at the bake element when the oven is on and I hear the relays cycle one and off. When the oven beeps it at temp it's nearly 100 degrees off. It will eventually get there but it takes quite a while. The only thing I'm unsure of is the High-Limit Thermostat. It reads 0 ohms but what I don't know can this limit the temp or cause the elements to not reach full temperature?

1 Answer

MattinNC, the bake element DG47-00020B for the model provided should measure between 26-30 Ohms. As the resistance is not within this range, the element has failed and would be the likely cause of this failure. The high-limit thermostat would not be a concern as it would stop voltage from reaching the control, causing a complete shutdown.

Be, with the power supply cord unplugged, the bake element DG47-00020B, broil element DG47-00068A, convection element DG47-00017A, and oven sensor DG32-00002B would need to be tested. The elements would be tested for continuity to ground and the sensor would be tested for resistance. The elements should not have continuity to the frame and the sensor should measure around 1100 Ohms at room temperature. If none of the parts fail testing, the oven control would be the cause of failure. For the most accurate control information, the REV or revision number of your appliance would be necessary.

Jrt for Model Number NE595ROABSR/AA

We have a Samsung Oven/Range Model NE595ROABSR/AA. SERIAL #JOVO7DCDAO2815E. When oven turned on set to 350 or any other temperature, within 2 - 3 minutes we get the indicator beep that the set temperature is reached. However the temp is only around 150-175 F, we have to wait 20-30 minutes for temp to reach setting. We currently using an analog Taylor Large 2.5 Inch Dial Kitchen Cooking Oven Thermometer to determine the actual internal oven temp. Samsung Svc Ctr Rep says we need PART NUMBER DE47-20037A. Am concerned we have other problem. Suggestions welcomed.

1 Answer

JRT, The temperature sensor inside the oven is responsible for telling the control when the temperature has reached preheat levels. DG32-00002B Testing for ohms it should show 1090 ohms of resistance at room temp.

John for Model Number NE58K9430SS

When we run the oven, after it is cooled down the fan continues to run and blows air out the vent on the front of the stove but does not shut off. We flipped the circuit breaker and shut the range down. When we turned it back on the fan was not running but later on it came back on without the oven being used. Unit is a little under 5 years old. We now only used the surface burners but there is no fan turning on. No one here repairs Samsung appliances anymore so it is try to fix it myself or buy a new different brand. Model Number NE58K9430SS PS. I've replaced the thermostat disk the control board and the thermister and no change.

John, based on the information provided, the sube EEPROM PCB assembly DE94-03610A would be the cause of failure if it is not the control that has been replaced.

Hello Pete, you will need a multimeter ,check the bake element for about 25-30 ohms with the power off to the range and element wires off and that when in the bake cycle it is getting 240v from the control.

Mike, This issue would most likely be caused by the thermostat for the fan blower.

Ken, Check the power supply to the unit is correct. If there is 240 vac but not coming on then this will be a faulty control board.
