Zach for Model Number Samsung RS2530BWP Hi, I recently replaced the defrost sensor, part number AP4137975 because my refrigerator was no longer cooling. The part is the most likely source of the problem. However, after replacing it, it doesn't seem that the defroster is working still, AND new symptoms emerged - the ice maker stopped making ice and everything in the crisper doors of the refrigerator is frozen. I'm wondering if this sensor (which I found during my troubleshooting is located in a vent behind my ice machine in the top portion of my side by side freezer, not down by the defroster where I replaced the other sensor) could be faulty and if replacing it could solve all of my problems...if not this then what else can I do?
Answer Hello Zach. You need to check and see if the evap fan motor DA96-00136N is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. If it is not running properly, the coils will frost over and the icemaker will quit. Also, the refrigerator will quit cooling as well. Read More...
