Jose New gas stove with electric ignitor trips GFI outlet the moment it is plugged in. Reading across the prongs of the appliance cord read 75 ohms. Replaced outlet with new one and its still doing the same thing. Can this be a bad stove?
Answer Hello Jose, Since the unit is not designed to run on a GFI, I would try the unit plugged into an outlet that is not on the GFI circuit. If it trips the circuit breaker in the breaker box, there is an issue. If not, it is probably just because the GFI is in the circuit. For a more detailed diagnosis, please include the model number from the units' I.D. tag in future posts. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
