Al for Model Number Samsung SRS610 Hi, I have a Samsung SRS610 the fridge runs from power on and cools fantastic but when the defrost cycle cuts in it stays in defrost for a day or so, melting everything in the freezer and warm in the fridge compartment. If I turn it off and back on the compressor kicks over and the same process is repeated. I am led to believe my model does not have a defrost timer part, I have replaced the main control board and tested thermistors at 5K ohms at room temperature - they climb to around 9K ohms at freeze temp. Any ideas what it might be? Thank you.
Answer Al, The defrost sensor is the most likely cause for this issue. If the sensor is only getting to 9K ohms then it would be defective and would need to be replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, February 8, 2016
