Stanley for Model Number RF266ABRS Water is leaking into the bottom of the refrigerator section. I have already tried twice pouring a cup of very hot water into the drain hole (the top of hole did not appeared plugged), using a hair dryer to melt most of the frost on the coil, and replacing the defrost temperature sensor. After replacing the sensor, there is still water leaking. It is mostly confined to the center (but slightly to the right) of the refrigerator. Any suggestions on fixing the leak? Could it be the aluminum foil on the cover and drain edge, or drain clip? BTW, I measured the old sensor and it show 4.7K ohms at 75F and 12.7K when immersed in a cup of ice water. Should I toss out the old sensor?
Answer Stanley, The most likely cause for the leaking if the unit drain is cleared would be a evaporator cover that is causing the water to not flow properly. The part number that would be needed is DA97-06197B. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 25, 2016
