Jon for Model Number RS2545SH Samsung Refrigerator I have a Samsung RS2545SH refrigerator. It hasn't been hooked up to a water line in a while, but when I hooked it up today and turned on the water, it came pouring through the ice maker and wouldn't stop until I shut the water off. Is that most likely a water valve issue? I haven't replaced the water filter yet, but that doesn't seem like it would cause an overflow issue.
Answer Hello Jon. See if there is power coming to the water valve. If not, you will need to replace the valve. If there is power, the icemaker is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
