Seth July 11, 2021 for Model Number RF266ADRS/XAA Can the water line from after the water valve to the water dispenser inside the upper cabinet wall be replaced by attaching a new water line with an inline connector and pulling it up through the inside of the fridge wall?
1 Answer Seth, the tubing from the water valve will go to the filter head DA97-06317A then from the filter head to the tank assembly DA97-07150B. These tubes are usually run through a channel but it is always a good idea to attach a cord to the end being pulled through so that it can act as a guide for the new tubing. Read More...
Seth July 11, 2021 for Model Number samsung rf266 I had a mouse chew into the water line that goes up inside the fridge from the area directly behind the water valve. Can this be easily replaced by taking it apart at the upper interior wall where the dispenser is and pulling a new line through attached to the old one?
1 Answer Seth, the model provided appears to be a partial model number. If the full model could be verified and provided in a new question, this will allow the most accurate information to be presented. Read More...
Mikey March 30, 2021 for Model Number RS267 LASH Ice maker not filling, water dispenser working fine. Is it possible that one of the two water solenoids has failed, and not the other?
1 Answer Mikey, Yes, it is possible that one part of the valve can fail and the other not. Based on the information provided it sounds like a valve issue or a frozen fill tube would be the likely issue. Read More...
Stevevillareal1967@Gmail.Com March 14, 2021 for Model Number stevevillareal1967@gmail.com I found a rubber elbow in the Ice maker and now I have ice forming on the bottom tray of the freezer and leaking water on the tile of the kitchen floor. The unit still makes ice but not full cubes . I own a Samsung Model RS2630SH with the Serial Number 006242BXA02201D I looked in your break down of both the freezer and Ice maker and don't see the rubber elbow . I changed out the water filter and flushed the system . I dumped out the ice that was in the Ice maker and that's when I found the elbow. Can you Please tell me how I can fix this problem
1 Answer Steve, This elbow goes up into the ceiling of the cabinet for the filling of the icemaker and would need part number DA97-04501R. Read More...
J.M. October 22, 2017 for Model Number RS2545SH My water dispenser dispenses water extremely slowly and makes little ice only very slowly both with and without the filter installed. What is the likely cause and remedy?
1 Answer Hello J.M., This is most likely an issue with the water pressure to the unit from the home plumbing since the water and ice circuits are completely separate to include separate water inlet valves. The only other explanation would be a failed filter head assembly DA97-01666C. Read More...
Marc April 08, 2017 for Model Number RS21FC Hi. I have a Samsung RS21FC and recently the water has an unpleasant taste. I have tried changing filters. By trial it seems to be caused from the pipe which runs from the valve as water tasted directly after valve is fine. I'm trying to establish pipe size from valve to coupler at front of fridge as it's not the same as inlet pipe size. Thanks. Marc
Jack June 03, 2016 for Model Number Samsung RS2545SH Fridge I have a Samsung RS2545SH and the water dispenser is not coming out! But the ice is working fine! Do you think that the "Water Inlet Valve" went bad? Normally the "Water Inlet Valve" is for both ice and water? Thanks
1 Answer Hello Jack, The refrigerator water valve is a dual valve. One side is for the ice and one side is for the water. One side failing will not affect the other. The water valve is supplied power from the electronic control board DA41-00104Y so it is the most likely suspect. Be sure to inspect the wiring harness to the door at the door hinge and check for power to the water valve from the board. Read More...
Pauline February 12, 2016 for Model Number rs261mdwp I have a Samsung model rs261mdwp, it has been making a very loud buzzing noise. It was time to change to change to the filter so we did, then two weeks later suddenly it wasn't dispening water. Took the filter out,it was frozen and water was dispensing but only without filter. Then the buzz noise started and gotten very loud. The sound would turn off when we opened the freezer but start back up once closed. Turned water off under the sink and it sounds much better.... But now no ice or water. Please help!
1 Answer Pauline, This issue sounds like it is going to be 2 fold. The first issue with the water dispensing without the filter but not with would be caused by a faulty filter head. The issue with the noise sounds like it would be the evaporator fan in the freezer hitting ice. There may be ice building up around it in which it will cause the fan to make a noise as the blade hits it. For this issue you will want to check to see if there is ice around the fan and clear it. Ice can build up over time and will make a buzzing type noise when the fan hits it. Read More...
Chris August 27, 2015 for Model Number RS265TDRS/XAA I am hoping you can help fix this terrible fridge. While still under the 1 year warranty, the freezer went bad. We got that fixed. The entire time we've owned this refrigerator the water/ice seemed faulty. (ie slow water, no ice being made, etc).. Now, the dispenser won't dispense water at all, or just a few drips (ice not being made either). The strange thing is that it works perfectly fine with no filter in. I've replaced the filter with a samsung filter with no luck. The filter being used was only a couple months old. I refuse to put money into this piece of junk, so I would rather fix this myself if I can. Does this sound like the water inlet valve? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Chris. You will need to order and replace the filter head DA81-05886A on the unit. Read More...
Austin571 July 28, 2015 for Model Number Samsung RS265TDRS The ice maker has stopped working. Tried the reset. Cleaned the ice bin and top cover thinking maybe frost was blocking something. Replaced the filter. Still no ice. What is the next step?
1 Answer Hello Austin571. If you press the button and it does not cycle, then the icemaker is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
