Phil for Model Number MSD2651HES I recently replaced the water filter twice on my MSD2651HES Refrig because the water dispenser flow was very weak. Still weak pressure. When I remove filter and install blue bypass cap, pressure is excellent. Could this be the water valve? I recently had the water shut off to my condo to install a laundry sink, could something have clogged when water was turned back on? (city water, not well)
Answer Phil, Your description in a text book description of a water pressure/flow problem. With the filter installed you maust maintain a reccomended 32 psi water pressure to the fill valve for proper operation of the dispenser. with the "bypass plug" installed the water psi can be as low as 20 psi and operate.
