Answer Hello Cynthia, Turn off the breaker to the unit and verify no voltage is to the unit. Open the bottom door and remove the screws, (one on each side), that retains the trim that runs up the sides of the unit. Pull out on the bottom of the trim and slide it down to remove them. Now, at the top, under where the trim that you just removed was, remove the two screws. The control panel will now lift straight up and will only be attached by the wiring. I always remove the board from the panel instead of pulling the wires off.
