Bill for Model Number RBD305PDS14 The temp readout on this wall unit has quit working or is extremely faint. (cannot read the upper display and the lower oven is very dim) Does the mother board need to be replaced to fix this problem. Other than the readout, the oven works fine and the temp seems to be controllable. We just set the temp by counting the 5 degrees increments the setting increases or decreases when pushing the up/down arrows.
Answer Bill, The control board uses a transformer for the lighting of the display. The fact that the board has a very dim display would represent that the transformer is not sending enough power to the board. You can test the transformer for 120 vac in and 12 vdc coming out at the control board. If there is less than 12 vdc then the transformer is faulty and need to be replaced. The part number for the transformer is WP9760587. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 18, 2014
