Ray N. for Model Number RBD305PDB14 Our 8 year old Whirlpool double over has begun showing us code F3E2, then it goes into locked when we push off. It happens about 10 or so minutes after pre-heat completes. I took a quick guess and replaced the upper oven sensor, but that hasn't helped. I'd guess that the only other cause is the Control Panel, and that if I called a service tech that's what he would do, but it would cost me a whole lot more than just buying the part from you folks. Now paying closer attention to the operation, and using an electronic temperature probe, looks like the broil element in the upper oven doesn't shut off, raising the temperature above 400 (top end range of electronic probe), even though the control board continues to indicate it's at 350. 1. Is there anything else that I should check before ordering the panel? 2. Am I correct in my diagnosis? Thank you, Ray
Answer Hello Ray, As per the tech sheet on the unit, if the temperature sensor has been changed, the only other cause of this code is a stuck set of contacts on the control board (AP5272198). Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, June 6, 2013
