Steve C for Model Number Maytag MHWE300VW12 Hi, Maytag 3000 series, Model: MHWE300VW12, Serial: CSY2011156 My Maytag washer drum does not move at all from start to finish cycles. Before this issue, the drum would spin violently and sounds like a helicopter whirling around during final spin cycle and the washer shakes violently. I saw a video of how to disassemble the entire washer and replacing the seal & bearing, and I'm pretty comfortable performing the repair myself. What do you think is the issue and what parts do I need to replace? Thanks in advance for your help!
Answer Steve, The first thing that you will want to check is the belt to make sure that it is not broken. If the belt checks ok then you will want to pull the unit apart and check the tub spider on the back of the inner tub. If this has broken then it will need to be replaced.Also put the unit through diagnostic and see if there are any stored error codes.
