Another Maytag Repair for Model Number Maytag top load washer - old school from about 2003 I had to replace the main tub spin bearing 4 years ago because the spin cycle sounded like the thing was going to take off and fly. Now almost 4 years later to the day it's making the same sound. I am going to replace the bearing again because other than that, the machine runs just fine. I don't see any water leaking. My Question, since there is so much weight pressing down on the bearing does it make a difference which way it goes in? does the black side go up or the metallic side? the bearing model I ordered last time from you is AP4047999, this time it comes up as AP6009098.
