Jeremy for Model Number LAT9356AAE MAking very loud roaring noise during spin cycle. Removed both tubs and activated spin cycle, still hearing noise, sounds like the main bearing under the trans. above clutch/brake. How do I remove and replace if this sounds like the problem?
Answer Jeremy, On that unit you most likely will need the tub bearing and tub seal assembly 6-2095720 and 6-2040130 and a spanner wrench to do the repair TB123B. A lower radial bearing seldom goes bad, unless you've had a leak and washed all the lubricant out of the bearing. Remove the front panel and isolate the location of the noise, At or neear the bottom of the tub assembly,tub bearing/seal at the base of the machine the radial bearing.
