Mawcmw for Model Number MAV7600AWW Just before the spin cycle, the washer made a sound like it was going to begin the spin cycle, but the washer just went dead. Tried moving it to a different cycle but still nothing. After a few minutes the washer actually would turn on but still wouldn't go through any cycles. It will just hum like something is locked up. I was told it needed a new pump and belt. Does anyone know if this is actually what is needed.
Answer Hello Mawcmw, You can tilt unit back and take belt off. Once belt is off you can try to turn the pump pulley. If it will not turn then the pump would need to be replaced.
