Alan for Model Number whirlpool washer awo/r4205 the belt keeps coming of, i have tightend the nut but still it comes of. Also the machine is vibrating more than eaver. do i need a new belt?
Answer Alan, We would not expect the belt to be the issue at this point. If the belt is "falling off" and you're sure the pulley shaft nut is tight and locked in place, you'll need to check the motor mount bolts and tub assembly to make sure the assembly and bolts are not loose. Also check and make sure there is no side to side play in the tub bearings and tub basket shaft. If the washer is on a solid floor, properly leveled, and not being overloded, you'll need to check the tub dampening assemblies WP8182703 and see that they are not worn, or loose. Read More...
