Dora for Model Number whirlpool LSQ9544kQ0 This looks like a tough repair to me so I want to be as sure as possible that the drive block is the culprit. During the spin cycles, the washing machine makes a machine gun ratatat noise. The machine feels level and a level tells me that it is practically level. If I push down on the top of the machine in the right corner, the noise stops (only to resume if I let go of the machine.) If the drive block is to blame, does it make sense that holding down the machine in one corner would stop the noise? Thanks
Answer Dora, You will want to pull the cabinet of the unit and check to see if there are any screws that are missing or have come loose. The drive block being faulty will not stop when you push on the corner of the unit. This could only be caused by a cabinet noise. Read More...
