Washer won't spin or agitate? A worn drive block often causes spinning failure. This connects the transmission to the tub. Moderately difficult repair.

Answer

Brion, Usually a bad drive block or worn spin tube tabs will make a few(2 to 4) loud knock noises, when the tub stops or starts spinning. Usually you only need the "drive block" WP389140 but if thee spin tube tabs are rounded off, sometimes you can "square" them up with a file and get by for quite a while. Thanks and Good Luck.
