Chuck Jones my roper washer is 1 year and 7 days old it fills with water ok won't adj.or spin the motor clicks but don't and you can here it want to go. i checked coupler and is fine.the motor spinns freally but when i reinstall the unit it's binding. any ideas?it feels like something in the drum is messed up? thanx chuck
Answer Chuck, With the motor and pump removed, try and turn the transmission coupler in both directions, it may be stiff and a little hard to turn in the counter clockwise direction(spin) but you should be able to turn the coupler in both directions if the transmission is OK, also with the motor disconnected, and with the harness attached you can put the timer in the spin selection and see if the motor runs, just be very careful.
