Glen for Model Number LSR8233JQ0 Whirlpool Hi, With our whirlpool, The factory applied no locktight to the motor mount bolts, so , when I flipped it over, one of the three motor mount bolts was laying on the floor, the other two were spun out a turn or two. That sucks. Thanks Whirlpool. Unit is clean, 7 years old. We just recieved drive block and prior installed new clutch and brake associated with clutch ordrer. As we have taken the unit apart and back together we see the same problem: When spin cycle is to be called for the tub can not spin up with water and clothes in it. When the tub is empty and the dogs are removed we see that the drive shaft wants to spin, but has no real energy to spin the tub; it just slips while the motor rotates. Water drains. Motor coupling has been checked. clutch replaced. Drive shaft rotates both directions when adjitation cycle is called for. It will break your arm in both directions. On spin, drive shaft does not rotate tub when there is a small, small amount of a resistance of clothing or even hand pressure on tub wall. Tub will not spin up with hand pressure applied very lightly. We just recieved drive block but don't see a reason to apply it if drive shaft is not spining. Is this a transmission or capacitance issue or other? Thank you, glen
Answer Hello Glen. If the shaft is not turning, you will need to order and replace the transmission in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, July 25, 2012
